When it comes to weather, you never know what you’re going to get at the Grand Canyon. I met Ashley and Taylor at Lipan Point for their Grand Canyon engagement session on what has to be the windiest day I have ever experienced on the south rim of the canyon. It was pretty crazy!
Shelby and Brian got married under dramatic Sedona skies towards the end of April. You never know how a spring wedding in northern Arizona will turn out weather-wise but it was a perfect, beautiful (slightly chilly) day!
Simple weddings are really magical. No first dance. No bouquet toss. No toasts. These traditions all have a time and place. But for some folks it makes sense to strip that all away and get down to the very essence of a wedding day.
Sometimes weddings take months and months to plan. And sometimes they don’t. But whatever way they come together, there is usually a whole lot of love that goes into the preparations. Totally the case with Katie and Billy’s wedding in the Zane Grey Ballroom at the Weatherford Hotel in the the heart of downtown Flagstaff.
Lauren and Cameron got hitched at Forest Highlands in Flagstaff on a beautiful, sunny day that followed a day full of rain. Enough rain to make folks worry a bit. But in the end sunshine prevailed. You can’t beat a mild June day in the mountains!
You could say Matt is full of surprises. He told his girlfriend Lauren he was taking her on a surprise weekend getaway and that she should pack a bag and prepare for a long drive. On Friday morning he drove her to the Airport (they live in Georgia) and surprised her with a flight to Phoenix and a trip to the Grand Canyon.
Happy New Year! 2016 was a great year for Ryan Williams Photography and I'm looking forward to 2017. It's tough to pull together a year in review post that feels complete. This one is just a sampling of the fun and creative weddings and engagements I was fortunate to photograph during the past 12 months.
