Cliff and Dan have been together for almost three decades. So is was definitely time to get hitched at Merry-Go-Round Rock. A Sedona Elopement is always spectacular. Especially on a stormy day like this one. But we had luck on our side and the rain held off (mostly) just long enough. With two jeeps from Red Rock Rubicon Jeep Rental, we made our way up Schnebly Hill Road in style. That’s one seriously bumpy road. And with the rain it was very muddy. But Dan and Cliff didn’t let that worry them at all. What’s a little mud on your shoes (and, let’s be honest, the back of your pants and jackets)? Merry-Go-Round Rock has one of the most epic views in Sedona. It’s a great spot for an elopement. And these days, elopements are a great option. Once we arrived at the overlook, Dan and Cliff helped each other adjust their ties and then Jen Paul began the ceremony. It was so full of laughter and tears of joy! Just beautiful from start to finish. At one point, everyone let feathers go from the edge of the cliff in memory of loved ones who have passed. After reading their vows and a kiss, these two were married! Yes! We had to scramble to make some rad portraits before the rain kicked up and then headed down the mountain. We made a few final portraits at the Sedona Creative Life Center before I headed back to Flagstaff. What a fantastic day and celebration! Enjoy!
