I met Chris and Kari before the sun came up for a Horseshoe Bend engagement photography session. What a radical sunrise with plenty of drama in the sky! Horseshoe Bend is a busy place these days. Tour buses pack the parking lot along with cars, campers and motorcycles. Everyone wants to have a look at what is really an incredibly beautiful stretch of the Colorado River as it winds it’s way around red and orange rocks to create the horseshoe shape it is named for. It’s packed with people! Arriving before the sun came up gave us a more quiet and less crowded experience. Nice. And with so much cloud activity in the sky, we had beautiful light all morning.
