Maggie and Jay’s Flagstaff wedding at Arizona Nordic Village was spectacular! All the beauty of the forest plus elaborate details and a serious party. This wasn’t your average Nordic Village wedding. But we’ll get to why in a minute. Maggie got ready in the bridal suite upstairs in the lodge with the help of her friends and family. It was a pretty relaxed scene. Jay had a snack with two more from the wedding party. They didn’t split the wedding party into bridesmaids and groomsmen. They just had one big wedding party. Nice. Jay waited in the forest until Maggie tapped him on the shoulder for a First Look. And then it was time for the Tim Tam Slam. Coffee with a Tim Tam straw. Confused? Check out the photos and get on the interwebs and look it up. Fun stuff! The skies threatened rain much of the day but never finished the deal. It was a beautiful ceremony. Funny and heartfelt. It even included a log sawing ceremony. Pretty unique. Now, what made this an extraordinary wedding? The event design was just plain stunning. No detail was overlooked. The floral arrangements were radical. So much so that Jay donned a flower headpiece after the ceremony and wore it all night long! Champagne towers, three bars, lounge areas scattered about under two really, really big tents. Dessert options for miles. Live music and an epic party. Of course, this makes for a pretty amazing experience. But Maggie and Jay’s connection took center stage. And they’re super fun and laid back folks who love to laugh and have a good time. For example, once the dance party started, Jay changed into a custom suit with light-up shoes. And Maggie didn’t care one bit that her beautiful wedding dress took on the color of the Flagstaff forest floor. Embrace the two-tone wedding dress vibes people!
