Philippe, Pamela and and their little guy Jacques met me at Cathedral Rock for a Sedona family photography session and some exploring. Fun stuff!
The Location: Cathedral Rock, Sedona, Arizona
You can’t really go wrong with most locations in Sedona for family photography, but one thing to consider is how much climbing is involved and your comfort level with little kids running and climbing up and over rocks or near drop offs. With little ones who don’t get far all that fast, it’s just a matter of carrying them to a good spot. Luckily, at Cathedral Rock it’s not a long walk or climb to get to really epic Sedona views and red rocks. Just about a five minute uphill walk and you can let the exploring begin.
We spent about an hour finding fun spots for Jacques to enjoy and play with rocks and combined that with some amazing Sedona backdrops for some rad family photos. It was a beautiful evening and we had a nice time getting to know each other a bit.
